The gap between 'knowing' and 'doing' and/or 'being'

We know a bunch of stuff. How can we not with what we have access to now? So...we know it...but how many of us are 'doing' it, or even 'being' that? 2012 has been a massive year of 'new' stuff. really exploring how I came to be who I am, and being ok with where I am in my journey.

There is a temptation to 'landmark' the year with events that I participated in, challenges I met and over came, goals I reached....and truth be told, there were a lot of ticks this year! BUT, it ins't in the perfect score sheet where the power lies...it's what I learnt in the process! The lessons have been great. Of course, they apply to me. The learning and growth is for me. T

he key areas that support this growth are all the usual...health, wealth, spirit, family, primary relationship. Ironically, ALL need attention. What I know to be true, is that it is unrealistic to think that 'a bit' of attention every now and then in each of these areas is good enough to sustain growth. Nature is never ending. We are never ending and what we learn through our growth is never ending.

Initially this realisation felt overwhelming..a feeling of HOLY SHIT....WILL I EVER GET THERE...wherever 'there' is. Now, I embrace the excitement of the adventure. The exploration of me and the multi-facited spirit/human experience this is. Now, I am turning this overwhelm into a really candid expression of my journey and the learning I receive along the way. Committing to the idea the gorgeous Maya Angelou presents "When you learn, teach. When you get, give"...I will be learning and teaching, getting and giving more in 2013!

I am embarking on a strip back of it all. Exploring the concepts of spirited living from the perspective of a curious mummy, looking to live a full expression of herself. This will involve a bunch of really honest moments expressed and conversations with a heap of people! There will be video blogs, written blogs, creative workshops, play dates for mummies and a heap, heap more! Oprah, my mentor and love lives by "use your life"...so why the hell not...it works for her :)
