We made it there!!!

Yesterday my oldest and I made it to his Prep assessment! Wooohoo! I got the right day AND the right time! Can I have a gold star? :)

We went in. We sat. We talked, and then they were to get down to business, and I had to wait outside filling in a form. I sat outside waiting. Thinking about everything I have taught him to now. All the reading, writing, throwing, catching, looking, listening, puzzling, talking, running, eating......I wondered if it was enough. I wonder if I am doing enough.

Looking at the list I was to complete about his abilities I think......"Oh crap, he can't tie his shoes"...I should have taught him how to do that....and then stop!! We live in one of the hottest places in our country! Who wears closed shoes?? So ok, he can't tie his shoes. He is no less of a beautiful, compassionate, spirited, intelligent and loving child. And then in the quiet I realised that he is enough. Whatever he is, he is enough. If he learns from me, that what I am is enough....what greater gift to pass?!

I am constantly evolving and being as I am, and that is enough.
