I like to dream. I like to think about all the possibilities. I like to see changes.
I have many dreams. Dreams for me, my husband, my family, my friends, and the world. I challenge the belief that day dreaming, and dreaming in general is 'out of touch' and 'not real' and 'not achievable'. This belief challenge is only very new though. Very new.
It occurred to me that there is absolutely no reason we can't have our dreams come true. Unless of course it isn't a match to suit us entirely. What I mean by this, is I can dream all I like that I want to be 6 foot 2 inches...but lets be real now!!! Perhaps a heck of surgery??? Regardless, it doesn't suit me anyway!
So....tell me why I can't write a book or a play. Tell me why I can't run a marathon (as I define marathon mind you). Tell me why I can't meet Oprah! You tell me why I can't and I will tell you why I can! Ask Richard Branson if he listened to people way he couldn't. Ask Oprah if she listened to people she couldn't. Ask Will Smith if he listened to people say he couldn't. They own islands, boats, planes, flash cars, TV channels. But mostly, they believe in their dreams. They believe in themselves! They surround themselves with people who back them.
When people tell us we are crazy, out of touch, and raving lunatics we have to center ourselves, hear their explanations and then seek within ourselves if the opinion is valid. Ultimately they are with us, or they are not. And it is up to choose who will be with us!
Dream bigger than you thought possible to achieve! Set some seriously high....near on what you believe to be impossible targets. Then shoot!
